Before his election as Oklahoma’s Attorney General in 2022, Gentner Drummond established Drummond Law as one of the state’s leading law firms, partnering with his cousin, Tom Drummond. His diverse background as a cattle rancher and fighter pilot uniquely equipped him for a distinguished legal career. As a Captain in the United States Air Force, Drummond led the first U.S. combat mission of the Gulf War, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross for “extraordinary achievement.” By the conclusion of Operation Desert Storm, he was one of the most decorated Oklahomans of the conflict. After nearly eight years of military service, Drummond earned a law degree from Georgetown University and returned to Oklahoma to raise his family, practice law, and manage his family’s cattle ranch—a lifelong passion he continues today.
Beyond law and ranching, Drummond has thrived as a successful businessman. His ventures include Blue Sky Bank, Postoak Lodge & Retreat, and Drummond Communications, all of which have contributed to job creation in Oklahoma, in addition to his family’s ranching enterprise.
